Facing the Truth

God is looking to us to determine if the Cross of Christ is embellished on our hearts and lives. The early Christians adhered to the picture of the Cross as it helped them remember Jesus.
They didn’t see Him as still hanging on the cross, but viewed it as a symbol of God’s eternal love and forgiveness. So I may hold dear the old craggy cross, until my prizes at last I lay down ; I will be able to adhere to the old craggy cross, and exchange it some day for a crown.”.
The Cross wasn’t the end or the final word on the state of humankind. It definitely was an obligatory step that needed to be taken by Jesus before God’s deliverance might be completely realized by all who would come to like and worship Him. When we take up the Cross of Christ, we crucify all that we are except for Jesus. This is our glory, and the empty cross represents our crucified life.

Sailors on the high seas understand the significance of securing themselves to something strong in a fierce storm.
You learn how to adhere to what’s secure in a typhoon. Paul learned to adhere to what he knew to be accurate about himself and the Lord who held him in His grip.
While Devil punched and battered the apostle’s resolve, the Lord’s purpose was to humble him, to keep him from exalting himself.
Pride doesn’t reside in the hearts of the damaged, the split-apart, the hurt, or the pained of soul. Many years back I read these words : “Pain plants the flag of reality in the fortress of a rebel heart.” Mums and dads keeping vigil in the leukemia ward of a kids’s hospice don’t wrestle with issues of pride.
I am not qualified to offer you the intimate details of how Paul’s thorn influenced him. he does confess that he pleaded the Lord on 3 separate occasions to get rid of it from him ( v. And you know what? We might have done the same. You and I’d have prayed and prayed and pleaded for relief. I see fantastic transparency drafted in those lines. The world wants more proponents of Christ who embrace agony and trouble instead of reject them. How useful for us to see all this as God’s plan to keep us humble. Those lessons are learned in the ditchs of life. That’s precisely what occurred as Paul turned again and again to his Lord.

All those going thru a tempest need to be engaged in the midst. Nobody is guaranteed an enchanting escape clause. it’s not a satisfactory option to double our arms and wait for the tempest to pass. It’d mean a season of support where a trained, merciful individual helps you reorder your life.
You could be needed to confess many incorrect actions and seek reconciliation as you make restitution. Whatever the truth, you will have to be concerned. Fact remits that sort of grown up reply. It’s part of throwing the anchor of fact and trusting God to bring you to shore.
The best plan for getting through a typhoon is preparation. No seasoned fishermen or responsible ship captain sets across the open sea without a comprehensive awareness of the vessel’s appliances and without ensuring all is in correct working order. But the actuality is, it occurs, not only on the open sea, but also in life. The secret of survival is what you do beforehand in calmer waters.
If your life is storm-free as you read this book, I urge you to exploit this tranquil lull. Observe the galvanized charts He has given you for the journey of life. Then, when the inescapable winds of trouble start to blow—and they definitely will blow—you’ll be in a position to reply in faith, instead of fear.

God conscientiously prepared the sacrifice of Jesus to provide for our freedom from His rage and our expansion in His love. To redeem something means to provide payment for it – Jesus liberated us thru His sacrifice. He paid the penalty for all our sins, for all time, for all of humanity. At the cross, our guilt burden and our punishment were borne by Jesus Christ.
Our sinful nature makes us enemies of a Holy God, but because Jesus’ sacrifice brings us reason, we are reconciled to our Lord. As the Lord God in us works to “reprogram” our fleshly patterns of thinking, we become free from the presence of sin in our life. God polishes our jagged edges till we each become a shining jewel.
Before Jesus, only the High Clergyman could enter God’s presence in the Holy of Holies. But the Savior’s death tore the veil shielding the Holy of Holies in the church. With that symbolic gesture, God commented we are all free to enter His presence due to Jesus’ sacrifice. The more we understand about what was concerned in Christ’s sacrifice and the gift of deliverance, the more thankful we deserve to be.
The Sacrifice of Christ

We use many names for Jesus – Messiah, the Christ, Pastor , Teacher, and King, amongst others. But one name, Lamb of God, stands out as comprehensively describing the Lord’s purpose. Most of the people consider something that they create or attain to be their best feat. His sacrifice was the guts of the Father’s plan for humankind. Since the start, God has dealt with the sins of His folks thru sacrifice. In the Garden of Eden,
He offered the 1st sacrifice when He snuffed out an animal to use its skin as coverings for Adam and Eve. The fig leaves they were wearing could cover their bodies but couldn’t cover their sin. Either a life must end as payment for sin, or a life must be given as payment for another’s evildoing.
Jesus came as the sin-bearer for the entire world – He presumed the full accountability for all our sin and guilt so that we are able to be free from punishment. By His injuries, we are made righteous and holy in the eyes of God. But thanks to the Savior’s sacrifice, we will be able to stand before God and say, “Thank You that I am able to call You my Father.”
The Trumpets of Heaven

A group of believers wrote to the apostle Paul to express concern about family and friends who died before Jesus’ return. They questioned if these deceased saints would miss the joy and glory of His 2nd coming. All thru history, many have wrongly believed that on death, someone ceases to be.
So Paul wished to give a correct idea of what should be expected when Jesus returns. Naturally, what the apostle wrote wasn’t simply his very own opinion, but rather the truth that was revealed to him by God. First, we expect to hear some heavenly sounds – the shout of the Lord, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God. Many folks believe that when we die, we enter a state of “soul sleep” till Jesus returns.
But it is not possible to be “absent from the body, present with the Lord” ( two Corinthians 5:8 ) if we are experiencing soul sleep. Put simply, we are going to be catapulted into the presence of almighty God in the twinkling of an eye.
The Love of Christ

Due to God’s mercy, he didn’t give us the punishment our sin merited. Instead He satisfied His justice thru the sacrifice of His blameless Son Jesus Christ. This Saturday, we’re going to see that His knowledge is another aspect of His love. But God knew that man would sin against Him and so fail to earn a place in heaven.Subsequently , in His knowledge, God selected to save us, transform our life, and give us a new beginning based entirely on His love.
The follower is accepted, not due to anything he does to earn divine approval, but because God loves His creation. And we recognize the undeniable fact that Jesus Christ is His only begotten Son, who went to the cross to die in our place and pay our sin-debt in full. After this life has finished, all folk will have to give account for their life. ( Romans 14:10-12 ) there’ll be no condemnation for people that have received Jesus Christ, as he has paid their sin-debt totally.
But for anyone that has chosen to reject the Savior, the awful effect of that call is eternal separation from God. Have you made a decision to follow the knowledge of God or the fake knowledge of the world?
Christianity in the News | Struggle for Christians
By · CommentsThis becomes a daily activity by which you decide who’s going to live your life for you today.

Are you going to live in the flesh, or is Jesus going to have the prerogative of living His life thru you?
Folk have different terms for the “flesh,” but simply put, it’s the standard part of each person that wants to operate in opposition to God. It sometimes reveals itself by challenging the limitations the Lord set for humankind’s good. We’ll always have this fleshly nature, but we do not have to live by it, and we do not have to submit to it. Why? As we have the Holy Spirit living inside. When he indwells us, we possess 2 mindsets – the mind of the Spirit leading toward God and the mind of the flesh leading away from Him.
Because these 2 ways of thinking are against one another, conflict and warfare result. We are in a genuine battle, which needs real weapons. We have got the helmet of deliverance so that we won’t surrender our minds to the flesh. The breastplate of goodness protects our feelings from giving way to natural wants. We put on the belt of truth, which enables us to stroll truthfully instead of in the flesh.
There’s a real shield of religion because there are real darts of doubt. To explain, we are at war, but we are well supplied for it.
Our Spiritual Responsibility for Our Country

We are at a critical time in the history of America. 2 philosophies have clashed at a crossroads, and just one can overcome and continue forward.
One rejects God a place in government, while the other insists His techniques are the foundation of regime. So we must ask ourselves, How long does the Lord bless a folk whose inclination is to turn their collective backs on Him? When a country recognizes Jehovah, the God of the Bible, as its Lord, then He favors that country with wealth, protection, and stability. At the moment, it’s right that we as a nation are the receivers of God’s rich blessings. But by the look of a couple America is being drawn away from the influence of Christianity. We are able to see the corruption which has resulted from the last century’s attempts at ignoring the state’s godly foundation. Our best enemy is not an external threat, but a menace inside our own borders : our disintegrating moral personality. To point our country back onto the right path, Christians must speak up. Our next step is clear and easy : repent of the sin of willful stupidity – first as a church and then as people – and become involved in the life of this nation. Jesus tells us to be salt and light, put simply, to persuade others with the truth of Scripture.
( Matthew 5:13-14 ) a technique to do this is by voting cleverly. Know the candidates’ platforms, and vote according to the foundations of God and our country, even if doing so will not provide benefits to you personally. This is our religious responsibility.

When the general public hear the word church, the very first thing they suspect of is a specific sort of building. But let’s see what Christ related about the church so we can understand its biblical meaning. In Matthew 16:18, the Lord announced, “.
I’m going to build my church ; and the gates of hell shall not overcome against it” ( KJV ). He clearly had in mind something much bigger than a trifling architectural structure.
Essentially, He was referring to the entire body of Christ, which comprises all followers worldwide – everybody who, having trusted Jesus as personal Savior, is a kid of the heavenly Father. The church commenced on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came and anointed a group of Jesus’ supporters. ( Act two ) it will continue till an event called the Rapture of the church, when each follower in Jesus Christ is caught up to meet Him in the sky. ( one Thessalonians 4:17 ) The church isn’t just a place for social action or fellowship, though these are vital facets of its purpose. Rather, the church is the complete body of Christ, filled and enabled – both corporately and individually – by the Holy Spirit to execute the task chosen by Jesus Himself. ( Matthew 28:19-20 ) Particularly , the work and ministry of the church is to bring folk to a saving data of Jesus Christ and to make followers, teaching them and growing them up in the things of God.
Our responsibility is to obey. Have you asked yourself what role you should be playing in the ministry of the church?
